Jeremy in Italy

Another amazing moment in Cremona. Yesterday we visited the Violin Museum in Cremona and saw some incredible instruments dating back to the 1500’s. It was there I noticed a particular maker’s bio – Robert Gasser who started making violins in 1979 in the Italian tradition. Today I was fortunate to meet him purely by chance while looking for a restaurant near our Hotel. We spent a good half hour chatting about his work, methods and how passion as a maker becomes evident in the finished work. He produces a single violin at a time and it takes about a month.
