We are preparing for Summer courses that will commence in early July. As soon as we have a registration date we will post it here. We expect the date to be posted within a week or less.
Meanwhile we have started taking registrations from those people whose courses had to be halted at the start of the BC COVID-19 lockdown. We will complete these “catch-up” sessions by end June.
Drop-in sessions will commence this Wednesday June 10, 2020. Links to the registration site is found here. https://www.nvrc.ca/woodworking . Links are expected to be live by end Monday June 8, 2020.
What about COVID-19 and social distancing? We are complying with the BC Government Stage 2 guidelines and those provided by WorksafeBC and we are working hard to find ways to make your experience as good as ever in the studio. Some of the changes are as follows;
- For the foreseeable future the maximum number of registrations for any course will be reduced to 5 students from 6 in order to maintain a maximum of 6 people in the studio including the Instructor.
- All users and students will be required to bring their own mask and wear it.
- Users and students will be jointly responsible for keeping the studio a COVID free zone since we are truly all in this together. We have posted guidelines and methods to accomplish this the studio.
- Instructors will wipe down all machines and handles after each session including the more complicated wiping down of machine surfaces that are prone to rust.
What about our prices? Despite allowing less people in the studio during sessions we are keeping prices the same at this time and we hope to keep it that way.
Roundhouse remains closed and there are no reopening plans available at this time. For Vancouver residents – consider taking the Seabus and come to our Lower Lonsdale studio. It beautiful and bright, you will love it!
